Stopover in Singapore: Extreme Heat

During our trip to Bali, we made a stopover in Singapore that left us in awe. Although the heat was extreme, the experience was worth every drop of sweat. This small island nation feels completely different from any place in Southeast Asia we have visited before.

A City of Skyscrapers and Cleanliness

Singapore is a true urban spectacle, with skyscrapers that seem to touch the sky and an enviable cleanliness that surprises anyone. Here, even drinking water on the subway can cost you a fine, so it's better to keep the bottle until you reach your destination. We stayed in capsules near Chinatown, a fun and unique option. In just two days, we managed to explore several fascinating areas of the city.

Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay Skyline

One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the famous metal trees of Gardens by the Bay. This futuristic park blends nature with technology in a way that truly amazed us. Walking among those enormous "supertrees" felt like stepping into a science fiction movie. From there, we had the chance to admire the skyline of Singapore from Marina Bay, where the skyscrapers light up at nightfall, creating an image that could be on any postcard.

Colors and Contrasts in Little India

Another of our destinations was Little India, a vibrant neighborhood full of colors and aromas. Here, the cultural contrast is palpable. The brightly painted houses, Hindu temples, and spice shops immersed us in a unique sensory experience. It is definitely a place where you should let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere and enjoy every corner.

A Breath of Fresh Air in the Botanic Gardens

To escape the heat, we decided to visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens. This green oasis offered us a respite from the scorching sun. We walked under the shade of ancient trees and were lucky enough to observe some incredible species of flora and fauna. It is a perfect place to relax and connect with nature, even in the midst of such a modern city.

The Culinary Experience

We cannot fail to mention the gastronomy. Singapore is a paradise for food lovers, and its markets offer a variety of dishes that are simply irresistible. We ate at one of the markets in Chinatown and another near Gardens by the Bay. From the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice to the delicious satays, each dish was an explosion of flavor. There is no better way to experience the local culture than through its food.

In summary, our stopover in Singapore was an unforgettable experience. Despite the extreme heat, every corner of the city surprised us and made us want to come back. So, if you ever have the opportunity to make a stop here, don't hesitate to take it. Singapore awaits you!
